The asking price of 40 may seem a little bit steep, but it offers a very solid and satisfying experience. I am fond of nearly every single aspect of this game. As a closing remark I would argue that Solasta succeeds in meeting all the goals it set out to fulfill. I was critical at first of some of the cut scenes, but now I have to admit they have grown on me. They could do Monks and Bard with Dragonborn and Gnomes next, then save Tieflings and Warlocks for last with the addition of fiends & Fey monsters. I also reveled in the near-unhittable party combination of four defenders remaining in 2x2 position, never without shields - running that party on the hardest settings is going to be a blast. I have all the other EA and Beta cRPGs right now, and they are each amazing in their own ways, but Solasta: Crown of the Magister draws me in, almost nightly! What the heck is going on here? I see there are other players that have hundreds of hours with this EA already, what has been the draw for you? Why does this linear content (that I already know like the back of my hand) provide such endless entertainment?įor me, I think I find the self-imposed difficulty lately (running sub-par party with below-average stats) really refreshing, and I can't wait for the difficulty sliders! Enjoyed a few TPKs, even though I knew exactly what was coming.
